The Department of Oral Pathology and Oral Biology was delighted to welcome Dr Felipe Fonseca from Univeristy of Campinas, Brazil for a collaborative visit in November 2015.  Felipe has completed is Masters and Doctoral degrees in Oral Pathology and is currently hard at work on a post-doctoral degree.  Felipe had a short but busy time within the Department in which he was able to work on several research projects as well as participate in the Academic programme.  He provided much insight into the Dental and Oral Pathology training programmes in Brazil as well as being able to share many aspects of his research to date with us.

In the little bits and pieces of downtime available, Felipe managed to soak up the sights and sounds of a sunny South Africa with a memorable trip to Soweto.  The time spent in our Department will always be fondly remembered and we hope to have the privilege of welcoming him back in the near future.
