  • Diagnostic imaging (RAD 470): An examination course in the fourth year for dental students (BChDIV)
  • Diagnostic imaging (RAD 570): is presented as a prerequisite for the Maxillofacial and Oral Pathology examination in the final year for dental students (BChD V) 
  • PGDipDent: Postgraduate diploma in Dentistry
  • MSc(Dent) in Maxillofacial and Oral Radiology

Course Content

Diagnostic Imaging provides an understanding of the physics and geometric principals of dental radiography as well providing the knowledge and skills to perform dental radiographic techniques, interpret these images, recognise normal anatomy and diagnose pathological conditions. This module forms part of the undergraduate curriculum for a Bachelor degree in Dentistry (BChD) and a Bachelor degree in Oral Hygiene (BOH) degrees.

The foundational undergraduate knowledge is expande on in the psitgraduate courses offered.
