More information about Dr Verlinden: She obtained a BSc (Biotechnology, 2009) and a BSc Hons (Biochemistry, 2010) degree from the University of Pretoria, both cum laude. In 2011, her MSc degree was upgraded to a PhD degree in Biochemistry. During her PhD, Bianca received 5 international awards relating to her research and bioentrepreneurship endeavors.
