This year, as part of our UP Giving Matters campaign, we are pleased to announce the launch of a raffle featuring a classic 1967 VW Beetle as the grand prize. This iconic car, previously owned by former UP Rector Professor Rautenbach, was generously donated to UP by his family following his passing. Money raised through the raffle will be directed towards scholarships and financial aid programmes, in alignment with UP’s ongoing efforts to address student financial needs and promote educational access. 

Raffle tickets start from R67 per ticket or two tickets for R100; or buy 10 tickets for R670. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have to win the VW Beetle.
