2023 Assets verification

Dear UP colleague,

On an annual basis, staff are required to verify the validity, accuracy and completeness of assets for which they are listed as custodians.

All staff are hereby requested to electronically verify, on the PeopleSoft Finance system, all assets for which they are listed as the custodian. Please take note that assets with a cost less than R5 000 are not recorded in the asset register and will not be included on the list of assets to be verified. Assets above R5 000 that are physically in your possession, but not reflected on the asset list, must be reported to [email protected] with details of the asset.

All assets must be verified by Friday 29 September 2023.
Missing or unknown assets must be removed from the asset register. The request to remove the asset must be submitted to [email protected] with motivation from the HOD (for assets costing between R1 and R100 000) or the Dean/Director (for assets costing more than R100 000).
