Save the date! Casual Day takes place on Friday, 1 September 2023 in support of persons with disabilities. The 2023 Casual Day theme is ‘Share a Smile’.

Casual Day stickers can be obtained at R20 each at the Disability Unit (Old Chemistry Building, Rm 1-4). The UP Disability Unit will retain 40% of the funds generated.

• For internal transfers, please use Cost Centre X0Y447, account number X3545, and provide us with a journal entry as proof of payment.
• For cash deposits at CSC, please use Cost Centre X0Y447, account number X3545 and provide us with a cashier receipt as proof of payment.

The Disability Unit is also hosting a competition. The top three institutional structures – including all faculties, professional support departments, residences, or recognized DSA student structures – that purchase the most casual day stickers will be awarded a trophy and certificate of recognition.

Entry criteria:

• When purchasing your Casual Day sticker indicate your affiliation to either a Faculty, Professional Support Department, Residences, or recognized DSA student structure.
• UP staff member or registered UP student.
