Many individuals experience work stress at some point in time. With the current challenging economic climate, the need to remain competitive has taken on a sense of urgency in most organisations. Consequently, there are higher expectations for company employees, resulting in situations where employees take on tasks outside the scope of their duties, or try to do more within a given period. This can lead to increased stress levels, both physically and cognitively, resulting in longer working hours and with healthy lifestyle habits being neglected.
The workshop aims to help attendees obtain a better understanding of what work stress entails. It will provide some practical ideas of how to break away from limiting thoughts in order to create new alternatives for dealing with stress and to manage stress and its associated conditions effectively. This workshop is intended for employees working at the Hatfield Campus and their registration will have preference.
