Prof Eddie Webb presented the JJ Veenstra Floating Trophy to Ms Janke van Zyl for the final year Animal Science student with the most zeal.

Mrs A Joubert, widow of former Rector, Prof Danie Joubert, presented the following three bursaries, the Prof DM Joubert-bursary to Ms Suné Myburgh, the Prof JC Bonsma-bursary to Ms Christy Garritsen and the Prof C Maree-bursary to Mr Lood Visser.

The other bursaries awarded at the function included the AFGRI-bursaries to Ms L van der Burgh and Ms C Janse van Rensburg, the FEEDTEK-bursary to Mr JC Miles, and the Prof Rob Gous bursary that was presented to Mr Thabani Pule.

The SASAS Prize for the best 4^th year student in Animal Science in 2010 was presented to Ms S Labuschagne.

The SASAS Northern branch Award for the most outstanding third year student in Animal Science went to Ms AMJ Jacques.

 

Ms Janke van Zyl received the JJ Veenstra floating trophy presented to her by Prof Eddie Webb, Head of the Department of Animal and Wildlife Sciences.
