Partnering for infant hearing loss in South Africa

In South Africa, 6 000 babies are born every year with permanent hearing loss. Limited policy regarding management programmes and early hearing loss detection results in these children facing lifelong socioeconomic consequences. A collaborative knowledge translation framework is proposed to adapt Canadian programmes for early hearing loss intervention to South Africa.

This project is currently open for public voting when watching a two-minute video clip which forms part of the Global Challenges Canada grant process. If you like the idea, why not vote for it?
