Notice regarding vaccination registration

Dear memberUP student

As part of the national vaccination programme, the National Department of Health’s Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) is expected to open for phase 2 registration by the public at 16h00 today (16 April 2021).

Persons over 60 years of age and persons over the age of 18 who have co-morbidities will be eligible to register. Vaccination is voluntary and, if you wish to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, you must register on the National Department of Health’s EVDS.

This registration process will be communicated and managed by the National Department of Health.

Registration on the EVDS is required by all South African citizens and will provide you with a vaccination code that you will present on the day of your scheduled vaccination. Everyone who registers will be offered vaccination.
