Announcement: New President of Convocation

In accordance with the provisions of the Statute and the approved Institutional Rules of the University of Pretoria, Convocation members were recently invited to nominate suitable candidates to fill the vacant position of President of the Convocation for a five-year term.
 
The voting phase commenced on 7 October 2019 and ended on 21 October 2019.
  
Based on the outcome of the voting process which was verified by independent auditors, the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes is Dr Hans Hinner Köster. His term of office as President of the Convocation is effective from 31 October 2019 to 30 October 2024.
