Ten years after Hurricane Katrina, an opera dramatizing one New Orleans family’s experience of the tragedy was written by Rosalyn Story and set to music by composer Mary Alice Rich. Wading Home is the story of a young musician’s struggle to find his missing father in the chaotic aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Barbara Hill Moore is the driving force behind the staging of Wading Home. Professor Hill Moore has enjoyed a distinguished career as a teacher and an artist for more than 50 years while performing in concert, oratorio and in opera, throughout America, Europe and Asia. |
