UP Mercantile Law lecturers represent Faculty of Law at the Institute for the Study of International Development in Montreal, Canada

Prof Monray Marsellus Botha, Head of the Department of Mercantile Law, and Senior Lecturer Dr Carika Fritz in the same department in the Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria have been invited to conduct a presentation at a colloquium titled "Taxes, Labour and the Multinational Firm" on Monday, 27 May 2019.  The event will be held at the Institute for the Study of International Development, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. 

During their stay they will also collaborate on current research projects among a small, cross-disciplinary and cross-jurisdictional group of tax law, labour law, and political theory scholars, to explore the interactions of multinational firms with local workers and their impact on the fairness, coherence, and sustainability of domestic and international tax systems from 28 to 31 May 2019.
