The class representatives are students voted for by their peers who serve as a point of contact between the student body and faculty for those matters that require a coordinated voice.
The class representative is responsible for:
- The advancement of a healthy and constructive morale in the class. This includes the handling and solution of problems in the class and nurturing of a professional ethos.
- Liaising with the relevant lecturers on behalf of the students.
- Participating in interviews with prospective administration personnel on request of the Dean’s office (only final year students).
- Expressing thanks to guest speakers on behalf of students.
The class guardians are members of staff appointed to liaise with the class representatives on a regular basis to monitor, assist and advise on student body matters.
