2018 ASSA South African Mathematics Team Competition was held on Saturday 8 September.

Many of the participants form part of the University of Pretoria's Siyanqoba Regional Olympiad Training Programme. It is worth noting that seven of the ten learners in our senior A team (which came 3rd out of 42 teams nationally) are present or past Siyanqoba participants.

The Siyanqoba Regional Olympiad Training Programme is an olympiad training programme that is targeted at mathematically talented learners.  Classes are presented free of charge.  The website of our Siyanqoba Programme is: https://www.up.ac.za/en/mathematics-and-applied-mathematics/article/47651/siyanqoba-regional-olympiad-training-programme
