Soccer

As a result, this year we started to reconstruct the Law House Soccer Team from what remained from last season. We were hard at work amassing together a force so great to carry the name of the University of Pretoria Law Faculty Soccer Team to heights never before attained by our predecessors. Through the guidance and leadership of the new sports HKs, the Team continued to practise last semester in anticipation of their first league game - which regrettably was postponed due to the hectic tests schedules during the period of May; and subsequently all games were postponed to the next semester due to academics taking priority and poor participation by Tuks Sport.

But in the new semester the league kicked off with a bang! Team Law House played their first match on 20 July. We opened the score with a goal from one of our talented players, Roaziq, which had us leading 1-0. We held this position for 15 minutes, until the other team equalised. As a result of our holiday form and all the excess we picked up with all that relaxation taking place during the break, Taaibos Residence managed to get the better of us and we unfortunately lost to them by four goals to one.  The better team on the day won, but we live to fight once more.

We played our second match against Jakarandia and this time we performed better and the final score was a 3-3 draw. We were now left with one match to determine whether we would make it to the next round of knockouts in the Res Soccer League. Our next play was scheduled for 4 August against House Internal Auditing. Two matches down and one more to go; we have heart on our side and the love of football.

Now with that being said, Team Law House strives to move forward.
