The Law House Mamelodi Social is fast becoming a tradition on the Law House calender

THE LAW HOUSE MAMELODI SOCIAL

The purpose of this annual social event is to promote and introduce some students to a different lifestyle (and of course, taking others "back to their roots") -  taking them into a township, introducing them to a different spectrum of life, removing the stereotypes embedded in their minds and by doing so, bringing everyone together.   The social as a whole was a lot of fun, fun, fun!  From having a cold drink (or two), braaivleis, slap chips or a plate of pap and wors, to dancing up a storm, this event was the embodiment of the maxim "live and let go". Having fun is all about discovering oneself and allowing oneself to just… be.

LAW HOUSE IYA ROCKA!

This year’s social was an awesome experience with an amazing turnout. Three taxis were hired to convey students to Mamelodi. Everyone had such a wonderful experience - in fact, so much so, that when it was time to depart, students were reluctant to leave.  The Law House Executive Committee literally had to drag some of them back to the taxis - a good depiction of how much fun and versatile law students really are!
