Academic profile

Ms Lizelle le Roux obtained the degrees LLB and LLM (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies with a focus on the link between ownership and dignity in South Africa.

Between 2013 to 2018, Le Roux was a lecturer at Pearson Institute of Higher Education where she lectured in Property Law, Individual Labour Law, Law of Sale and Lease and Introduction to Law.

She joined the Faculty of Law in 2019 and has since been involved in Jurisprudence 110.

Focus areas

Her main research focus is on the role of western art music in understanding the essence of the rights of freedom and dignity as well as the connection between dignity, ownership and property rights.
