APPLICATIONS FOR STUDIES AT UP IN 2024

Applications for studies at the University of Pretoria in 2024 open on 1 April 2023 for all study programmes. It is important to take note of the different closing dates.

Closing dates for applications

• Faculty of Veterinary Science: 31 May 2023
• ALL other faculties: 30 June 2023

New Admissions Policy

Please take note that meeting the minimum admission requirements for a programme does not guarantee admission into the programme.

1^st Round

Applications received until 30 April will be considered from high to low based on APS and the first 40% of the applicants will be conditionally admitted.

2^nd Round
New applications received until 31 May as well as applications not conditionally admitted in Round 1, will be considered from high to low based on APS and the next 30% of the applicants will be conditionally admitted.

3^rd Round
New applications received until 30 June as well as applications not conditionally admitted in Rounds 1 and 2, will be considered from high to low based on APS and the final 30% of the applicants will be conditionally admitted.

After the 3^rd round
Programmes that have not reached their targets may be opened again for applications.

No unsuccessful applications will be communicated before 30 June, except applications that do not meet minimum requirements.

It is of the utmost importance that learners have to apply as soon as possible.
