Ms. Anika Meyer is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Science, University of Pretoria. Her journey as a dedicated and passionate lecturer and researcher in the Department of Information Science, at the University of Pretoria, commenced in January 2015. She completed her Master's studies in 2016, titled: Information behaviour in academic spaces of creativity: a building science pseudo-makerspace. She is currently enrolled for her doctoral studies at the Department of Information Science, University of Pretoria, titled: Information sharing in participatory design of a virtual academic creative space.

She has presented at international conferences (e.g., ISIC and EAHIL) and is a member of the ASIS&T African Chapter and Knowledge Management South Africa (KMSA). She has also participated as a panel speaker in the ISIC Conference Panel in Zadar, Croatia on 20-23 September with other panelists such as Professor Tom Wilson (University of Borås, Sweden), Professor Theresa Anderson (University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia), Professor Ross J. Todd (The State University of New Jersey, USA) and Ms. Naailah Parbhoo-Ebrahim (University of Pretoria, South Africa). Lastly, she was part of the local organising committee for the ISIC2020 virtual conference hosted in Pretoria, South Africa. She was also the session chair for the opening session of this conference.
