ONLINE REGISTRATION: IMMIGRATION BLOCK AND SUBMISSION OF STUDY CONTRACTS
Postgraduate candidates wishing to register online are advised to ensure that they meet all the requirements for registration:
complete and submit the e-contract,
pay the down payment, and
attend to the immigation block (international students).
While the country and the university are currently on lockdown the following colleagues may be contacted with regards to the holds:
It is a university prerequisite that every candidate complete and sign a study contract. A soft copy together with the original signed copy are required. For the interim students are advised to forward a copy of the signed contract to [email protected]so they can be assisted with the contract block. Students will still have to submit a hard copy of the contract once campus reopens.
All international studennts are required to have a valid visa and medical aid cover for a full year in order to register. Once a student has these we are requesting that you forward them to [email protected]in order for the immigration block to be lifted.
APPLICATION FOR LAPTOP LOANS- POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted in the shutdown of academic institutions, the university recognises the need for continuation of academic activities and is doing its very best to provide continued support to all students.
Applications are invited from postgraduate students for acquisition of loan laptops. The below criteria for eligibility is applicable:
- Student must be from low-income/ missing-middle households
- Students must be self-funded with no means of acquiring a laptop or be a recipient of a bursary/scholarship not making provision for laptops
All applications are strictly done online using an online application and will be processed strictly by the UP Finance department.
