The Graduate Support Hub (GSH) helps current and prospective students access funding for postgraduate studies and research by announcing calls for funding through the University website, social media platforms via faculties and information sessions. Funding opportunities are further communicated through the weekly UP research funding bulletin managed by the Research Capacity Development Unit within the Department of Research and Innovation (DRI).
UP offers the following internally funded opportunities:
- UP Doctoral Commonwealth Bursary
- UP Postgradute Bursaries
- UP Doctoral Reseach Bursary
Our office is also responsible for the management and administrattion of externally funded bursaries which include:
- Organisation for Women in Science Award (OWSD)
- Fullbright Fellowship
- UK Commonwealth
- Mandela Rhodes
- DAAD (International and In-region), and other industry and government funding.

The University Postgraduete Scholarship Office (PGSO) is located at the Graduate Centre Bulding, Office 1-55, Hatfield Campus.
