BScHons Geoinformatics student wins award at SANSA student workshop

Maleho Sadiki, a current student enrolled in BScHons Geoinformatics in our department, recently attended the SANSA Student Workshop, held from 7-11 October in Hermanus, Western Cape. At this workshop Maleho was also awarded the prize for the best student honours presentation. For her honours project Maleho has mapped water bodies on Marion Island using remote sensing and GIS methods. She is jointly supervised by Dr Hansen from our department, and Dr Greve from the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences.
