Student awarded CONSAS Award

Posted on May 15, 2019

CONSAS dates back to the 1960s when it started as a Conference for Southern African Surveyors, and was initially held every four years in a different centre in Southern Africa. In 2011 its name was changed to AfricaGEO to give it an African context, and also to broaden the scope to include GIS and Geomatics. The CONSAS Foundation awards an award to the best student in Geomatics at every university offering a Geomatics programme recognised by the SAGC. To qualify, Brenda-Ai Maina, a graduate of our BSc Geoinformatics programme and a current BScHons Geoinformatics student, obtained an average of  a minimum of 70% for all courses on the undergraduate programme. We congratulate Brenda on this outstanding achievement!
