During the conference he presented a talk on the Palaeohydrology of rivers that deposited the sedimentary rocks in the Waterberg mountains in Limpopo. After the conference, Dr. Bumby took part in a field trip which examined the Palaeontology, stratigraphy and structural geology of the Vindyhan Supergroup to the north of Mumbai. He also visited the National Geophysical Research Institute in Hyderabad, where he gave a presentation to Geoscientists on the tectonic setting of the Bushveld Complex in South Africa.
