AgriCAREERConnect (ACC) 2021 is an integrated career event for companies and industry organisations to showcase career opportunities in agriculture and interact with graduates and students.

AgriCAREERConnect (ACC) 2021 is an integrated career event for companies and industry organisations to showcase career opportunities in agriculture and interact with graduates and students. Universities can promote their agricultural study programmes and engage with industry. ACC 2021 will be hosted by a partnership between AgrijobAlfa Expo and Agri Gauteng, using the AgriTV digital channel as event platform. 

ACC 2021 will be an online event broadcasted from a Central Studio, showcasing career opportunities in multiple video presentations, followed by a three day event, a Track per day. Each Track will cover four main areas of specialisation in the value chain, through live interactive panel discussions and breakaway Zoom sessions at pop-up studios at participating universities’ campuses. 

We plan to involve the following universities with agricultural faculties: Universities of Pretoria, Stellenbosch, Free State, North West, Limpopo, KwaZulu Natal, TUT, CUT, CPUT. 

ACC 2021 will showcase careers in the Agricultural Value Chain:

  • Tuesday 19 Oct - Track 1: Horticulture & Crops
  • Wednesday 20 Oct - Track 2: Animal Sciences
  • Thursday 21 Oct - Track 3: Agricultural Economics, Finance & Insurance, Trade & Commerce, Food & Consumer Sciences, Engineering, Systems Efficiency, ERP, IT & Data Management 

Format of the event:
Pre-recorded video presentations
 by companies and industry organisations to be uploaded on AgriTV digital channel and be viewed before the event.

Graduates and students sign up to participate in breakaway Zoom sessions at pop-up studios at participating universities’ campuses, taking place on 19-21 October 2021. 

On the actual AgriCAREERConnect 3-day event, 19-21 October: The Central Studio (Centurion) will host live panel discussions in session format. Each session will involve an industry leader and a technical expert, and representatives from 6-7 companies. Participating companies will have 10 minutes to engage with each respective university in each breakaway Zoom session.
