*Closed - requires departmental selection. Publishing in the Digital Environment. The first part of this module focuses on the study of publications in the digital environment. Differences between paper-based and digital texts are studied. Publication formats in the digital arena are discussed by focusing on topics such as multimedia, hyper fiction, e-books, etc., as well as distribution channels such as intranets and portals. The influence of the digital environment on publications and publication processes is the main focus of the second part, focusing on understanding the nature and management of the e-publishing environment and digital publishing technologies such as HTML, SGML, XML and PDF.
