Anaesthesiology (ANE 771, ANE772)

Advanced theoretical study in small animal- (ANE771) and large animal anaesthesiology (ANE772). Advanced theoretical training in premedication, intravenous and inhalation induction and maintenance of anaesthesia, techniques for tracheal intubation, monitoring of animals during anaesthesia, local anaesthesia, pain management, complications associated with anaesthesia, management of compromised animals during anaesthesia, and anaesthetic techniques specific for species.

MMedVet (Anaesthesiology) – Specialist anaesthetist

Advanced theorectical and clinical training in premedication, intravenous and inhalation induction and maintenance of anaesthesia, techniques for tracheal intubation, monitoring of animals during anaesthesia, peripheral muscle relaxants, local anaesthesia, pain management, complications associated with anaesthesia, management of compromised animals during anaesthesia, and anaesthetic techniques specific for species. An internship is mandatory.
