Doctor Carol Lotter
Carol Lotter is a registered Music Therapist with the HPCSA. She holds a PhD (Mental Health) and MMus (Music Therapy) degrees from UP and is also a qualified GIM therapist. Carol co-directs the MMus (Music Therapy) program and is course leader for the BMus (Hons) Music Communication program at the University of Pretoria. She has been clinical supervisor in a variety of mental health settings for MMus (Music Therapy) students since 2004, worked in a variety of community settings and has run a small private practice. She works in the areas of youth at risk, adult mental health, oncology and dementia. Carol is the regional representative for Africa on the World Federation of Music Therapy.
