Samantha Yell Celebrates admission as Attorney

Posted on July 30, 2018

Samantha Yell enrolled with the University of Pretoria in 2012. She completed her BA Law Degree in 2014 and subsequently her LLB and law school in 2016. In 2016 she was the top academic achiever in PRR 410 & 420 which was a tribute to her experience at the Clinic. Samantha considered the UP Law Clinic as her first choice for articles. She writes about self-actualization, that the Clinic facilitates the advancement of self and others. The more you invest –sometimes beyond your immediate capability – serves the community’s access to justice. “I chose experience, initiative and knowledge. To be accountable, not to fees, but to the best outcome for the client. Your Worship, this is where I stand”. Samantha enrolled for her Masters in Child Law in March of 2017 as she has always had an affiliation towards children and she feels compelled to do something that matters. She passed her admission exams and was proudly admitted as an Attorney on the 5th of July 2018. She celebrated her admission with close work colleagues, friends and family. Congratulations Sam, we are proud of you and wish you the best for your career as an Attorney.

" The study of law extends beyond the discipline or practice. It introduces you to a multitude of subjects so as to shape you as human. This is law school, the knowledge will label you an Attorney, legal philanthropist or academic by choice. You choose who you become.  Being a law student is the challenge. We exist in the abstract. Connected by short term memory; long term travel and discovery of self ”.

Where do you stand?" Samantha Yell
