Research and Short Courses

Since the inception of the National Credit Act in 2007, the University of Pretoria Law Clinic was involved in research and training projects related to the Act and the credit industry in general. One of the highlights in the University of Pretoria Law Clinic's involvement in the credit industry was the instruction by DTI to analyse and develop policy to effect amendments to the National Credit Act. This led to the National Credit Amendment Act which was promulgated in 2014. The focus of the section is to undertake income generating projects ranging from funded research for government and various institutions to presenting short courses in the field of the National Credit Act. The research and short courses section of the University of Pretoria Law Clinic is headed by Charlotte van Sittert.
