Language services available to staff include translation, editing, interpreting and terminology
research in English, Afrikaans and Sepedi. The Unit offers advice on UP style and terminology. Contact details of experienced freelance editors and translators are made available to private clients and students.

Location

The Language Unit is located in the Old Chemistry Building on the Hatfield Campus, next to the piazza, to the north of the Merensky 2 Library.

Technology

The Language Unit uses a variety of technological aids for operational purposes, including the Wordfast Translation Studio suite of tools, courtesy of Wordfast LLC and Yves Champollion.
