Speech, Voice and Hearing Clinic at UP

The Speech, Voice & Hearing Clinic, based on the UP main campus, provides services for a variety of communication needs, for adults and children. Our services include assessment and intervention for, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Speech-language pathology

Audiology

  • Voice disorders including symptoms such as hoarseness, tired voice, strained voice and change in voice range. 
  • Hearing tests for all ages: infants, children to adults 
  • Dysfluent speech
  • Therapy for persons with hearing loss
  • Complex speech and language difficulties (e.g. autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, developmental delays, or a history of cleft lip & palate)
  • Vestibular and Balance assessments
  • Speech, language and swallowing difficulties following a stroke or traumatic head injury, or associated with degenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease
  • Hearing aids and cochlear implants
  • Early communication assessment and intervention
  • Neurophysiological assessments, including Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)

 

  • Auditory Processing Assessments for children 6 years and older struggling with attention, reading and spelling

 

  • Tinnitus management
