BA (Audiology) (Code: 01130105) 

The purpose of this four-year degree package is to provide qualifying students with in-depth knowledge of the normal hearing process in the context of human communication, the causes and symptomatology of abnormal hearing and the scientific basis of intervention with a person with a hearing disorder or those at risk of developing such pathology. This intervention can occur in a one-to-one situation, in group therapy, by using a multidisciplinary team approach or by means of community-based intervention. The qualification includes applied competence such as practical skills to improve or enhance the aural and/or communication abilities of those adversely affected by a hearing disability or those at risk of developing such a disability. The qualification furthermore complies with international academic requirements.
 

BA (Speech-Language Pathology) (Code: 01130104)

The purpose of this four-year degree package is to provide qualifying students with in-depth knowledge of the normal speech- and language processes in the context of human communication, the causes and symptomatology of abnormal speech and language and the scientific basis of intervention with a person with a speech and/or language disorder or those at risk of developing such pathology. This intervention can occur in a one-to-one situation, in group therapy, by using a multidisciplinary team approach or by means of community-based intervention. The qualification includes applied competence such as practical skills to improve or enhance speech- and language abilities of those adversely affected by a communication disability or those at risk of developing such a disability. The qualification furthermore complies with international academic requirements.
