Cisplatinum induced ototoxicity in patients receiving radical chemoradiation for cervical cancer – L Mnguni. Ototoxicity is however one of the most serious unwanted, frequent and dose limiting side effects and can be objectively evaluated pre and post therapy, to ensure that patients who develop ototoxicity receive proper management.  

Adjuvant radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy in locally advanced head and neck cancer: An Audit of compliance with recommended treatment times at Steve Biko Academic Hospital for 2011 M Rossouw. 
An Audit to review all the records of patients treated with postoperative radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy according to the respective risk factors for the year 2011. Patients who had a delay starting radiotherapy of more than six weeks from surgery and or did not complete radiotherapy within 100 days from surgery will have their records scrutinized to find the reason(s) why it happened.


Cross-sectional review of chemotherpy related toxicity and tolerability in patients receiving concurrent chemoradiation for locally advanced cervical cancer.  M Etsebeth 
This study will be a cross sectional analysis with a retrospective review of approximately 100 patients treated prior to 30 June 2011 for locally advanced cervical cancer with concurrent chemotherapy. The study will look at the frequency of Grade 3 and 4 chemotherapy related acute toxicity as defined by recognized grading scales. Toxicity that will be assessed will include hematological, gastrointestinal and renal toxicity which is the most frequently encountered and reported toxicity.
