The department has collaborated with the Pan African Research Institute to incorporate translational research into radiation oncology. This research will focus on better understanding of the biology behind treatment response.
In addition, there are collaborations with the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at the University of Pretoria.
MMED research projects and departmental research is currently ongoing.
