A national hub offering a postgraduate programme in Energy Efficiency and Demand-side Management was launched at the University of Pretoria in 2008.
The University of Pretoria was selected by the South African National Energy Research Institute (SANERI) now known as South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDi) to house the Energy Efficiency and Demand-side Management (EEDSM) Hub.
