University of Pretoria Camerata's newest CD "Phoenix", under Michael Barrett was nominated for a SAMA (South African Music Award) in the category Best Classical or Instrumental album.
Camerata was one of five nominations for this award, including Charl du Plessis (UP jazz piano lecturer) for Charl du Plessis Trio - "Baroqueswing", CH2 Guitar Duo, Tony Cox and Grammy winner, Wouter Kellerman.
The prize will be presented on 19 April 2015 at Sun City.
