Erasmus Mundus Partnerships Action 2 (Strand 1)
Since the latter part of 2010, UP has also been invited by European Universities to become part of their Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (Strand 1) Programmes (Consortia), offering scholarships to Staff and students to go on an exchange / full-time study at a Consortium University in Europe. Since 2015 UP also received Staff and scholars from leading universities in Europe on an exchange /full study period (and UP attracted numerous applicants from Europe on PhD or Postdoc levels too). The Erasmus Mundus Programmes will be phased out on 14 July 2018 and all exchanges and studies will have to be concluded by the deadline date. The last three programmes over a three-year cycle (since July 2015) are:
1. AESOP Plus, Coordinated by Paul Sabatier Toulouse III University in Toulouse, France
2. INSPIRE, Coordinated by Uppsala University in Sweden and

UP has signed Consortia agreements with two of the three available Programmes eg AESOP /Plus and EUROOSA (and applicants could apply under TG1 if registered students or Staff members at UP) and under TG2 for INSPIRE (although there are no scholarships left)
Although the last call for full degree scholarships was in March 2015 (for completion by the deadline date 14 July 2018), a few scholarships still remain (also from previous cycles and are available to UP Staff and students for short term exchanges/mobility.
