Ellenore is appointed as a senior medical officer at the department of Family Medicine where she actively engages with research in the clinical and community setting. Student learning in practice plays an important role of her responsibility. She is involved in a health service site in an informal settlement and offers health services as a doctor and collaborates with private and public inter-disciplinary sectors to better understand and develop a model for holistic and sustainable health and social care. She is also an emerging fellow at the University of Pretoria’s Executive Leadership program that involves teaching post-graduate students and has afforded her exposure to health systems thinking models developed at Harvard. Ellenore is an associate of the Tuks Centre for Ethics which involves teaching medical students and industry training. Her current research involvement includes the Umbiflow project (fetal wellbeing as done via Doppler) and linking this to community health worker teams and household care.

Research interests: 
Busy with a PhD on a holistic health approach to consultation, including spiritual care. Interested in sustainable and holistic community development and care, including the use of technology.

Student supervision:  
Supervise interns as part of the Umbiflow research project and the inter-disciplinary team at Daspoort and the informal settlement Zama Zama amongst other community settings.
