Undergraduate Studies

An undergraduate degree is like building a home.

During the first year you will start with the foundation, learning basic fundamentals that is necessary for engineering in general. During second year you will finish the foundation (floating that top layer to a smooth finish) and start towards creating a structure. You will learn about more specific aspects of engineering. During third year you will complete the sidewalls, door and windows, all taylored and shaped a bit more towards the specific degree programme. Fourth year will add that final 4 layers of specialised bricks and trussels, rounded off by Final year Project as the tile roof of the house.

Our signature courses encompass practically every aspect of the technologies that drive our modern world. We prepare our students to maintain and develop technologies in this ever-changing environment.

The Department produces world-class engineers in electrical, electronic and computer engineering. Many of its graduates are leaders in engineering and also top investors and entrepreneurs in the world, and many of its lecturers are world-class researchers.

Our undergraduate degree programmes are designed and optimised to prepare graduates in the best possible way for their careers. A specialist engineering degree separates the Department’s graduates from generalist engineers when entering the labour market, which means that our graduates are in high demand in the local and international market.
