Network and Data Centre Shutdown: 28 September and 6 - 7 October 2018

Please take note of the following scheduled maintenance by Department of Information Technology Services (ITS).

Friday, 28 September 2018

ITS will be replacing 6 network switches in the Merensky 2 Library, Hatfield Campus. Intermittent network connection problems will be experienced during this period on both the wired and wireless networks. Network issues are expected to last from 08:00 until 16:00. There will also be connection loss to Worldshare, the UP Portal and online databases from on-campus.

Saturday 6 October 06:00 until Sunday 7 October 2018 at 16:00

There will be a complete ITS Data Centre shutdown starting at 06:00 on Saturday 6 October until 16:00 on 7 October. This will affect all our services on and off campus for database access, Worldshare and the UP Portal. There will also be no network or telephones working on campus during this period.

E-mail access will also be affected on-campus, but you will still be able to access e-mail via any external internet service providers.
