More about our Achmat Dangor: Achmat, a literary figure in South Africa, was a member of the Black Consciousness Movement (BCM) and the Black Student Movement (BSM) during the apartheid years. As a student organisation, the BSM sought to challenge systems of oppression and the denial of Blackness in South Africa.
