The event is co-hosted by the Environmental Law Association of South Africa and the Law Faculty of the University of Pretoria (as part of its Faculty Festival), and takes place in the Law Auditorium, Law Building, University of Pretoria, Hatfield campus. Drinks and snacks will be served from 17:10 to 17:40.

Our guest speaker at the event is Megan Murison, who currently works at the Endangered Wildlife Trust in the Wildlife & Energy Programme. Megan has begun developing an off-the-grid energy solution to reduce the impacts of electrical infrastructure on biodiversity and to ensure the increase of access to electricity to a wider South African network, including rural communities. She is particularly focused on closing the gender gap in electrical usage and the empowerment of rural women. She will be discussing the Her Power initiative from 17:40 to 18:00. The film screening will commence at 18:00 and runs for 90 minutes.

We look forward to welcoming you to the screening.
