Early in 2017 the UP Library underwent an external review.  The UP Library responded by, among others, embarking on a project that would result in remodelling the UP Library into a truly 21st century academic Library.

To the purpose of this project the following focus areas were identified:

• Self-service;
• Space;
• Entrepreneurship and Fundraising;
• Digital Scholarship Centre; and
• Specialised research, teaching and learning units.

Team leaders were chosen and assigned the task of driving the conceptualisation and designing phase of each focus area.  These team leaders have been hard at work and they will share with the stakeholders their design and concept of the 21st century academic library.

You are therefore invited to be part of this renewal project.  Your views, input and ideas about the feedback from these teams will be welcomed.
