Exciting News: Our Editorial Published in the European Early Childhood Education Research Journal (EECERJ)
We are delighted to announce that our invited Editorial has been published in the European Early Childhood Education Research Journal (EECERJ). This editorial was developed following our participation in the EECERA Conference held in Brighton, UK, in August 2024. It reflects our continued collaboration with the journal and our commitment to contributing to scholarly dialogue in the field of early childhood education.
In the editorial, we share reflections and critical insights emerging from the conference discussions, highlighting current trends, theoretical debates, and practical implications for early childhood education research and practice. The piece serves as both a synthesis of key issues raised at the conference and a call for future scholarly contributions that address emerging challenges and opportunities in the field.

As part of Routledge’s author benefits, we have been provided with 50 free e-prints of the article, accessible through the link above. We encourage all colleagues, researchers, and practitioners in early childhood education to read and share the editorial widely.
In line with our ongoing collaboration with EECERJ, we will soon be organising a departmental workshop. The aim of this workshop will be to deliberate on the focus and structure of future papers we plan to submit to EECERJ, ensuring our work aligns with the journal’s current themes and scholarly directions. Details of the workshop, including dates and participation arrangements, will be communicated shortly.
We invite all colleagues to engage with the editorial and contribute to the upcoming discussions.
