Neurodivergent Support Group

When: First Wednesday of every month at 14:00 (unless noted for holiday, recess, or otherwise stated)

Time : Wednesdays, 14:00-14:50 pm

About: The support group ranges anywhere from  5- 10 students who attend these sessions. Some students attend as needed or, others come every week - whichever you feel comfortable with. Topics range from dealing with a diagnosis, academic tips, assistive technology, self-advocacy, relationships, etc.,

First-Year Students with Disabilities Support Group

When: First Thursday of every month at 14:00 (unless noted for holiday, recess, or otherwise stated)

Time : Thursdays, 14:00-14:50 pm

Where: MS Teams. Registration info below

About: The Disability Unit offers a support group for first-year students with disabilities. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to engage with others in a safe and supportive environment. Attendees will be provided the opportunity to develop effective coping strategies within the academic and social environment and decrease isolation as a first-year student. Meetings are held virtually on the FIRST THURSDAY of each month, from 14:00-14:50 pm. Should the need arise, the time/day of the session can be rescheduled to accommodate the group’s lecture attendance or other academic-related commitments Attendance is NOT compulsory.

The first virtual meeting starts on the 17th February 2022 at 14h00 (2pm)
