Mapungubwe, ancient Bantu civilization on the Limpopo; reports on excavations at Mapungubwe (Northern Transvaal) from February 1933 to June 1935, edited by Leo Fouché.

A collection of specialist reports on the first archaeological work carried out at the Mapungubwe archaeological site, this book is the seminal monograph on Mapungubwe, now a protected site within Mapungubwe National Park. Prof Leo Fouché, the editor of the book, was the first Professor of History at the University of Pretoria.
