FEATURING - Butterflies of Southern Africa: a field guide by Mark Williams

Posted on January 18, 2021

The Special Collections Book of the Week this week is:

Butterflies of Southern Africa: a field guide by Mark Williams.

Butterflies of Southern Africa is an introductory field guide that will help the layman to differentiate among the bewildering array of butterflies that occur in the region. The book is designed to lead the reader to identify at least the group of butterflies to which an individual belongs, if not its specific name. Using the five-point identification formula, the colour-coded photographs of butterflies, and the clearly organised text, one will be able to tell whether they have seen a swallowtail, a pansy or perhaps a hair tail.
