FEATURING - The Rare Birds of Southern Africa by PA Clancey

Posted on December 07, 2020

The Special Collections Book of the Week this week is:

The Rare Birds of Southern Africa by PA Clancey.

The Rare Birds of Southern Africa is a showcase for 94 of the rarest (and most vulnerable) birds to be found in the area. Rarity in birds arouses more than just passing interests in both serious ornithologists and amateur bird watchers. Dr Clancey has written and lavishly illustrated one of the most authoritative books dealing with those rare bird species breeding in Southern African sub-region. Each is portrayed in masterly detail as to form and colouration, against a meticulously executed background showing its natural habitat.
